Hog Wild Trucking
Hog Wild Trucking is a flatbed, dry van, & reefer common carrier providing service across the United States.
Brother in laws Charles Barnes and Richard Long started in the trucking industry in 2003. Founding B & L Trucking with a single used truck and a basic philosophy that providing on-time truck transportation service would create success for their customers as well as their trucking company. The care given to every load and the excellent delivery record greatly impressed customers.
This personal attention to service promoted growth and in 2009 they welcomed sister and wife Judy Barnes Long into the fold and assisted her in creating Hog Wild Trucking, Inc which is an asset based fleet. Hog Wild Trucking’s reputation of economically providing on-time service while operating a safe and green fleet is spreading. The family is proud and excited about future growth.
The family’s dedication to excellence means at Hog Wild Trucking you will drive the newest equipment on the road. The majority of the fleet consists of 2015/2016 Volvo’s and Freightliners. Hog Wild drivers are family and their comfort on the road is vital, trucks are equipped with refrigerators, microwaves, and APU’s.
The monthly wash program keeps equipment looking good as it crosses
The family is serious about safety. We are working hard to make sure our fleets meet or exceeds every requirement of FMCSA’s CSA 2010. In April 2013 the Hog Wild fleet converted to electronic logs eliminating the drivers need to manually keep logs, this ensures our drivers are well rested while on the road. Along with e-logs we use Qual Comm systems to monitor virtually all areas of driver and equipment performance to help keep our drivers, the public, our equipment, and the cargo safe. Tractors are equipped with internet and scanners, providing our customers with immediate POD and billing. This technology provides convenience for drivers removing the need to fax or mail in paperwork.
In keeping with our safety goals Hog Wild requires all new drivers to complete two days of orientation which updates drivers on the latest in safety and company business practices. Incoming drivers are provided with paid transportation to orientation, paid meals, and lodging.
Hog Wild is proud of our family of drivers. We recognize drivers for making sure their equipment and performance meets the strict guidelines required by state and federal law. A clean level 1 inspection pays $100, a clean level 2 inspection pays $50 and a clean level 3 inspection pays $35. Drivers with a history of deficiency free inspections are entered into a company quarterly raffle of $150.
